Question: Do you always gesso before you add any other medium to your pages?

You are inspiring me to start an art journal. That would definitely help get over a slump. It would be mine, and nobody else can see it.

Oh you should do it.  SOO much fun and very true you don't have to share it.  Although we would love to see some pages :-)  I add gesso most often to my pages.  Makes them studier.  But I depends on what mediums you use. I have just gotten some pan pastels and for those I don't gesso because they go on better.

Great video, Angie!  I need to find gesso somewhere....Hobby Lobby?  My Walmart doesn't have it.  I can't wait to start but I want to make books for my grandkids.  I have a bunch of random photos that I want to use, not in order but just grabbing and getting them into one book.

Very nice Angie,even though I`m watching it at 3am I cant wait to try this .I just bought myself an art journal book and have been haappily playing with it.I have water colour pencils but never knew what to do with them. thanks.I also need some background stamps!

You twisted my arm. Just as soon as I get something done I will show it. I am not a cropper, but this will open up a new adventure for me.
